Don't tell me why you walked away without a second glance,
I don't need to hear the excuses of what was once ours.
As you walk the paths of time remember that as you left I stood and cried inside,
my heart wilted like a flower without the sun,
I no longer believed in what was true anymore. 
Crumbling emotions started to fade as the midnight moon shined her light,
I tossed and turned alone in the darkness of the night,
the chill grasping me in it's fingers,
roaming, touching my curvy form,
a cry pierced the sky and I knew that was my soul letting you go.
Upon the air memories of us were bound in mist ,
and away they floated high towards the distant stars...
where they would wander for eternity and never fade with the starlight.
My mind became sensible, true and free,
 I was ready to wake the next morn and know that your tormented soul had released it's grip on my being, the wilted heart of days gone by suddenly breathed and seeked new oxygen...
gasping as it refreshed it's organ, 
I turned and whispered thank you to the guardians stood at the foot of my bed,
without their love and protection I was doomed to pass the future years bound by hate and disappointment to a man I once loved.
