In my life I wish for many things,
I seek new sensations with every path taken,
I meet new friends and another day ends,
yet somewhere I know you wait for me,
wishing upon the midnight stars for exactly the same thing,
to be if only for once, together in each others arms,
the darkness will become light,
the cold will feel the heat from our love,
your worries of life will fade, if just for a while,
trust shall unite and keep us smiling,
fears shall be buried until the light of the new found day.

Until that special time our minds shall continue to interact,
share our thoughts, secrets and scares,
hearts change often, our love may wilt and die,
but I will always have your memory etched upon my heart,
are we afraid of what is to be, does love really mean the end of friendship
and the start of aches and pain,
will you wake up one lonely day and forget my name?
I wish to walk along the warm sand hand in hand,
to watch the sunset settle way up high,
to feed you gently, to please you so,
to tease you softly as our hands wander free.

Your eyes so deep, the window to your soul,
I hope to one day fall into and images be shown,
words that many have tried to hurt me with,
shall disappear as you hold me close, envelope me with your love,
touch me tenderly,
excite me please,
keep me in this warmth until I need to breathe,
when the day suddenly peeps her early morning head,
let me turn to you and upon your lips plant the kiss of life we both shall share,
and should the day come when we no longer care,
may the tears that fall upon our cheeks be not forever our last tender words goodbye.
